Living on campus is a privilege that comes with responsibilities. We want the Residence Hall to remain a safe, welcoming place for all students, so the the Office of Residence Life will:

• Create an atmosphere conducive to learning, provide referral to appropriate academic support services and provide and assist in the academic advising process in the Residence Hall.
• Implement and foster a comprehensive educational component supporting students by providing programming enhancing understanding of cultural, ethnic, gender, physical, racial, sexual orientation and religious differences.
• Create and maintain a residence hall community in which students take responsibility for comprehending and enriching their environment while respecting the rights and needs of others within the ���Ĵ�ý community.
• Provide students with affordable and comfortable on-campus housing accommodations.
  Facilitate the adjustment and transition of new students to ���Ĵ�ý through various programs (e.g., new student orientation).
• Provide a disciplinary structure promoting and encouraging student accountability and responsibility.
• Provide values-based educational programming to raise student awareness of social, emotional, mental and physical health, substance abuse and responsible sexual behavior.
• Stimulate and encourage student participation in campus and community organizations.
• Strengthen recruitment and selection procedures to attract a high-quality and diverse professional and para-professional staff.
• Provide a comprehensive training and a developmental program for professional and para-professional staff.
• Have professional staff stay current with trends in higher education by keeping pace with student development theory through publications, attendance at conferences and participation in professional organizations.
• Provide a comprehensive ongoing evaluation/assessment of the housing and residence life operation including its personnel, programs and procedures.

���Ĵ�ý's Residence Hall suites include a couch, armchair, dining table with two chairs, an entertainment stand, end table, cable and internet. The kitchen area has cabinets and a sink. Each bedroom has a twin bed and mattress, armoire, desk and chair for each student. Each bathroom has a double-vanity sink, toilet, shower and toilet paper holder.

Request Accommodations

To receive housing and meal plan charges, all students must:

• Complete a
• Pay $250 housing deposit
  •   Complete through Student Accounts via
  •   Payments can also be made to the Student Accounts Office, which is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday
• Register full time (12+ credits), unless approved by the Office of Residential Life or Accessibility Services Office

To receive a room assignment:

• New students must have a Fall 2026 balance (with housing and meal plan charges) of less than $1,500;
• Returning students must have a back balance of less than $500 (this includes all semesters before Fall 2026)
• In the event the balance is not able to be reduced, students may also sign up for a payment plan via Payment plans are available July 1, 2026.
   

Immunizations

All new residential students must turn in required medical documentation to the Registrar’s Office.

Certificate Of Residency 
To receive the lowest tuition rate, you must provide proof you are an in-state resident. (State Education Law mandates it.) A Certificate of Residence (COR) allows ���Ĵ�ý to bill your home county for part of your tuition costs, which helps pay for your education and gets you the best rate
