QUEENSBURY, New York (March 30, 2026) — ���Ĵ�ý’s Counseling Division and the Glens Falls Branch of NAACP will offer “Coffee with a Cop” at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 2, in Bryan Hall, Room 128.

This event is designed as an open conversation to build engagement based on mutual respect, as the country experiences heightened militarization and force toward citizens.

Representatives from Glens Falls Police Department, ���Ĵ�ý Public Safety, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office and Warren County’s first assistant district attorney will participate in the event.

“Our approach is one of friendship, not controversy,” said Lee Braggs, vice president of the Glens Falls chapter of NAACP.

Lindsay Farrar, a licensed mental health counselor and multicultural specialist at ���Ĵ�ý, said Braggs has been a mentor who helped her embrace a fellowship model when discussing tough issues.

“We will role model these relational values to students and our broader community,” Farrar said.

This event is free and open to the public.

“My hope is to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the community,” said Dora Lee Stanley, a lifetime NAACP member from Saratoga.
