QUEENSBURY, New York (June 7, 2021) —Ĵý and New England College (NEC) are proud to announce a partnership that allows SUNY ADK graduates to transfer seamlessly to NEC’s bachelor degree programs.

Students who successfully earn an associate degree with at least a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) at Ĵý will be granted junior status at NEC. All credits earned at Ĵý in courses with a grade of least a C are transferrable to NEC.

“We are excited to offer Ĵý graduates another opportunity to further their studies and build upon the incredible foundation they establish with us,” said Kristine D. Duffy, Ed.D., president of Ĵý.

An associate degree at Ĵý requires 60 credits. Students who earn an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree at SUNY ADK will have completed the Liberal Arts & Sciences general education curriculum required by NEC.

“We’re happy to welcome Ĵý graduates to New England College,” said Paula A. Amato, senior vice president and CFO of New England College. “Ĵý shares our commitment to a supportive learning environment that challenges students while helping them succeed, so we are confident Ĵý’s alumni will easily transition to NEC and continue to reach their potential here.”

NEC requires students to complete 42 of the 120 credits required for a bachelor’s degree in the liberal arts; those can be completed at Ĵý. Students will not be limited to the area of study in which they earned an associate degree.

“Ĵý graduates will be able to transfer into any major at NEC, with minimal — or, more often, no — loss of credit,” Amato said.

NEC offers 43 bachelor’s degree programs. With two campuses in southern New Hampshire, the private NEC provides exceptional education for more than 5,000 online and on-campus undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students from around the world.

This is the latest among dozens of formal seamless transfer agreements Ĵý has with private and public universities around the country.

A virtual signing ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 10, via Zoom. (To attend, please contact Rhonda Triller at trillerr@sunyacc.edu for login information.)
