SARATOGA, New York (April 10, 2024) — Ĵý yesterday announced an expansion of offerings at its Ĵý Saratoga campus, including four associate degrees and a bachelor’s degree that can be earned entirely at the facility, new skill and career development opportunities, and career advising services.

“Ĵý is Saratoga’s community college, a commitment we take seriously,” said Kristine D. Duffy, Ed.D., president of Ĵý. “These expanded services will help the college continue to provide regional employers, and learners of all ages and backgrounds, access to high-quality educational opportunities where it’s most convenient for them.”

Among the newly announced offerings is the ability to earn degrees in Business Administration, Accounting, Individual Studies (health care emphasis), and Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship entirely at Ĵý Saratoga.

“This shift allows Saratoga County students to earn a degree close to home in high-demand fields including health care and business, while cutting travel time and making attending in-person classes more convenient,” Duffy said.

Ĵý also announced a new partnership with SUNY Cobleskill in which students can seamlessly transfer from Ĵý’s business degree programs to earn a bachelor's degree in business from SUNY Cobleskill at Ĵý Saratoga.

"Ĵý professors will be teaching SUNY Cobleskill courses," said SUNY Cobleskill President Marion Terenzio, who added that such collaborations are the future of education.

Tuesday's event culminated with a toast to the future and a dual signing by Duffy and Terenzio, each of whom thanked the SUNY Chancellor and system, represented by Johanna Duncan-Poitier, senior vice chancellor for Community Colleges.

As part of Ĵý’s recently announced Healthcare Pathways, funded by a State University of New York (SUNY) Future of Work Centers grant, the college also announced it will offer credentials for certified nurse aide (CNA), home health aide (HHA) and personal care aide (PCA) at Ĵý Saratoga.

The newly announced programs are in addition to the college’s many course offerings, professional development, bootcamps (short-term skills-based training) and Continuing Education classes.
