College in the High School (CHS)

These courses give you the chance to experience college-level work, earning college credits while fulfilling your high school requirements.

High school juniors and seniors throughout the region can take college-level courses in their home districts through College in the High School.

Credits you earn can transfer to 糖心传媒 (and we'd love to have you back with us!), or to most other colleges and universities.

Since each participating high school's offerings are different, please talk to your school counselor to find out what classes you can take at your high school.

Important information

This section provides important information about the application process and links for families, students and school personnel at our CHS districts. Looking for something? You鈥檒l find it here!

To apply for CHS, students must for all the classes they would like to take; they must apply for each semester separately.

Students should select 鈥淐ollege in the High School (CHS)鈥 from the list of programs.

Guardians/caregivers will receive an email with a link to approve their students鈥 participation in CHS; the classes(es) their students selected will be listed.

Without guardian/caregiver approval, the College Academy team cannot register students for the class(es).

If students are applying for ENG 101 or a math class, they should review the 鈥淩equirements for English and Math Classes鈥 section of the College in the High School (CHS) webpage.

They might have to pass a placement exam before they can be registered.

IMPORTANT!

Students, if you would like to add a course or revise your information after you have submitted an application, contact chs@sunyacc.edu.

Taking a year-long College in the High School (CHS) course? Complete the application for the Spring semester once it becomes available.

New York residents receive a considerable discount on in-state tuition at New York public colleges and universities. Students enrolled in 糖心传媒 CHS are eligible to receive this discount provided they have submitted a Certificate of Residence (COR).

  • Fall 2025 CORs are due by Oct. 8, 2025.
  • Spring 2026 CORs are due by March 3, 2026.

Most Certificate of Residence forms are valid for one year based on semester (not date). Students who submit a COR for a class they're taking in the fall do not have to submit a new one for the spring. If you are taking a yearlong CHS course, you will complete an application in the spring and submit a COR for the spring semester.

Saratoga County residents

Please visit the Saratoga County website for details about submitting the Saratoga County Certificate of Residence application (in person or online). After classes start, you must go to the Saratoga County office at 40 McMaster St., Ballston Spa. Once your student is issued a COR, scan and email it to Student Accounts. That office accepts clear photographs of the document.
